What is a Professional Pathway?
Compared to a strategy or solution that aims to provide a particular topic, idea, or method as a success outcome, a pathway is designed to be customer-centric and can result in a variety of resolutions. We are focused on developing the person with interpersonal skills and principles that can be applied to a wide range of areas in their professional lives. It is not so much the gear and equipment needed to climb a mountain, but the internal capacity and abilities of the climber to successfully engage in the journey and how to adapt to any situation.
What exactly does Ascend Professional Pathways offer as services?
We provide customized professional development training, coaching, and facilitated learning for various levels of company staff to better increase their performance and success. This can range from sales training for reps and consultants, leadership development for managers and directors, and executive coaching that supports company leaders.
What is Executive Coaching?
Executive Coaching is a highly engaging process where I as the coach create a space where you can be reflective, evoke awareness, and explore beyond your current thinking. We work to generate ideas on how to move forward through your challenges and navigate solutions.
What happens during a typical session?
We start off with your most important issues and identify specifically what you would like to achieve. Then, we steer towards strategies by having forward-driven conversations where the coach asks the client engaging, thought-provoking questions to promote self-discovery that leads them to future solutions. This process drives you to your objective and it starts by identifying specific, obtainable goals where you find realistic actions to take.
How does coaching work?
We are in an environment where you can be laser focused on discovering solutions and answers to your issues. It’s a deliberate process of thought-provoking questions where we aim to peel back the restrictions you have and identify actions to accomplish your goals. We look to discover your perspective and reality, setting goals or objectives, navigating differing points of view, and then choosing the best course of action to move ahead toward a desired state. This is rooted in a relationship built upon trust and ensuring the client’s privacy while maintaining confidentiality.
What does the process look like?
I as the coach am supporting you through the process. Generally, it consists of weekly/biweekly sessions of 30-45 minutes and can be on a specific topic of your choice or a pre-determined aspect of your business. The engagement can be as short as a few weeks or last for several months depending on your specific needs.
How do I know if I can benefit from coaching?
Many leaders and professionals can utilize executive coaching to work through issues. Generally, you have to have a problem or specific challenge significant enough that you realize you need to work through it, and you have to be open to the process and be willing to brainstorm solutions. In addition, anyone who wants to consistently improve and grow in their professional journey can benefit from a coach to continuously push their abilities and provide space to always be prepared for the next step in their path.
Do you provide consulting?
We do not provide traditional consulting solutions where we focus on a particular method or framework. We aim to build people’s skills and make employees more capable, efficient, motivated, and find success through their own personal capacities.
How is Executive Coaching different from consulting or therapy?
During a coaching session, we are focused on future-driven conversations and aim to source solutions, not dive into the past. We are less concerned with the "why" of how things are, but focus on "how" we get to achieve the results we seek. We're crafting actionable skills and reframing perspectives to help clients progress, while therapists address deeper emotional issues and past traumas.
What is Leadership Development?
Leadership Development is an experience where your company’s leaders and frontline directors sharpen their management skills to better engage their teams. We focus on specific behaviors and attributes that will directly affect your performance, influence, and impact on getting the results you need from your staff. It involves interpersonal skill development and improves on the specific indicators that you already have in place.
How does leadership development help me inspire my team?
Through a series of facilitated workshops, we use engaging and interactive activities to identify areas of improvement, refine your talents, and explore effective ways to drive the specific results you need. Its increasing your deliberate actions on how you interact with your staff and how to better connect with each team member.
What can sales reps expect from your sales training programs?
These sessions, whether they are live workshops or virtual trainings, are an interactive learning experience. We present thought-provoking questions and scenarios that are relevant to their priorities in order to source solutions and identify actionable steps to take to make immediate improvements. Participants should expect to engage in a variety of learning activities, thoughtful exercises, and collaborative discussions where they can gain new insights and useful knowledge that can be applied to their current roles. Participants who are open-minded, willing to share, and have the intention to improve will have the best results from the training.
What are your stand-alone workshops?
These are isolated workshops that focus on one particular skill or solution that can be applied to any professional looking to develop in that specific area. The session presents a targeted lesson to improve and apply those skills immediately following the course. They are often held separate of any current engagement or program and are advertised through our LinkedIn page.
